Its a peculier question I know but let me break it down.... In my time I have studied Shotokan (4 gradings) and Go-Kan-Ryu (1 grading) Karate, Boxing and currently working towrds my 4th grading in Jujitsu. But I have also spent 4 years in the (British) Army Cadet Force, and 2 years in the Territorial Army and have, according to some, done well in these areas. But, hopefully without having blown my own trumpet, or sounding to up my own arse, my strange question is this... If lineage or ethnical traits did have anything to with martial skill where would it likely have come from? Being that I was born in Southend on Sea, Essex, England and my father and his family are from Cardigan and Camarthen in Wales. I know we try not to judge on that alone however I'm just curious...if this question makes any bloody sense to anyone, as its hard tryin to put it into words. Anyway....what d'ya reckon?
